About me

Johnathan W. Hardy is a doctoral candidate at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in the department of Art History. His work focuses on the intersection of art, architecture, and ideology in the Sasanian empire (224 – 651 CE). 

He is currently a Jane and Morgan Whitney fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art performing a metrical analysis of the Sasanian seal and sealings collection in the department of Ancient Near Eastern Art.
